In this diptych, Koloane layers figures, buildings and streets into a dense urban scene. Rendered in oil and charcoal, the work captures the restless energy of Johannesburg through blurred outlines, dark marks and passages of colour that suggest movement, crowding and the city’s shifting visual rhythms.
