Healing was a recurring subject in Lekgetho’s work, as seen in this painting of a traditional healer. The objects arranged before him assume a surreal quality, augmented by the disembodied hand to the left. The work reflects the artist’s interest in spirituality, symbolism and alternative modes of knowledge.
